Our Mission Statement
The primary purpose of this Ministry is to teach the Word of God and to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ in a clear and precise manner that others will understand and thereby adopt the Word into their everyday way of life.
Dear Friends,
As a founder of Joshua Christian Faith Center established in 1992, we are joined in ministry with our daughters Lisa Harris & Shayla Pinkney. This church will, in its teaching, operate within Biblical Principles by instructing all the people in the Word, so that they will learn how to rise from hopelessness (a state of being without hope) and inconsistent lifestyles to using clearly defined concepts of faith and enjoying all the promises God had for us through Jesus Christ. We believe that God has called us to minister to thousands of people that will come in His kingdom.
What We Believe
In the triune God, the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit; Jesus Christ is the true Son of God and true man; the Holy Spirit is a Divine Person.
All Scriptures are given by inspiration of God.
All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God and are in the need of Salvation; salvation has been provided through Jesus Christ for all mankind.
It is the will of God that every Believer be filled with the Holy Spirit.
Healing is provided in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ and is available to every Believer. The Church consists of all those who have received Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. There shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and unjust in the personal, visible, imminent return of Jesus Christ.
In the water baptism and the observances of the Lord’s Supper.

History
“You can do that.” Those were the words that Frederic Pinkney heard the voice of God say as he worshipped at Mount Olive Primitive Baptist Church under Pastor Leo Cox. Reverend F.B. Pinkney delivered his trial sermon on September 27, 1982. Little did he know that this was only the beginning. After leaving Mt. Olive, Pastor Frederic became the shepherd of Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church, located on the eastside of Jacksonville, Florida. During this time, Pastor Frederic became filled with the Holy Spirit and began to seek and teach the full gospel. On April 19, 1992, God decided to move Pastor Frederic on to new work. The first worship service of Joshua Christian Faith Center was held on April 21, 1992, at the Highlands Library. It was announced to about 50 members that Pastor Frederic would continue to lead the new congregation and that his wife Gloria would assist him. In the weeks that followed, worship services were moved from the Highlands Library to the Days Inn on Broward Road. Several services were held there before moving the congregation to the Ramada Inn on Lane Avenue. Shortly thereafter, a faithful listener of the weekly broadcast informed Pastor Pinkney that the former Church of God Auditorium at 1445 Steele Street was available. With that news, the members of Joshua moved into the building, holding their official dedication services from July 12th through the 14th of 1992. By April 1993, God had enabled the members of Joshua Christian Faith Center to do extensive renovations to the facility. The congregation remained at this location for three years. In September 1995, the leaseholder of the building at Steele and Blue confirmed what God had told Pastor Frederic back in June 1995; IT WAS TIME TO MOVE. On December 18, 1995, Joshua Christian Faith Center purchased the property here at 924 Saint Clair Street. On December 31st, the congregation held its first worship service in the new facility which included both the sanctuary and the educational building next door which houses Joshua Christian Academy, and our new Game Room and Fitness Center. God has truly blessed Joshua Christian Faith Center because we have remained committed to the vision. Since the first meeting of 50 members at the Jacksonville Public Library to 924 Saint Clair Street, the vision of the ministry has remained the same: TO TEACH THE WORD OF GOD AND TO PROCLAIM THE GOOD NEWS OF JESUS CHRIST.
